Pastor Robby: Redemption in Motion

At Freedom Center Church, we believe no story is beyond redemption- and no life is too broken for God to use. Pastor Robby’s journey is proof of that truth. Having personally experienced the delivering power of Christ, he now leads with compassion, humility, and the conviction that Jesus can turn any life around.

From Homeland Park to Hope

Robby grew up just down the road from our South Campus in Homeland Park. “I still have road rash scars from crashing my skateboard off the church steps,” he laughs.

Freedom Center has been part of his story for as long as he can remember- though back then, he never could’ve imagined leading one of its campuses one day.

Robby came to know Christ at 29 years old. That moment changed everything. “I had hit my rock bottom,” he says. “God revealed Himself to me in a powerful way, and my life was never the same.” From that day forward, Robby made it his mission to help others find the same hope and freedom he found in Jesus.

Outside of ministry, Robby loves to stay active- hiking, weightlifting, and enjoying sports (especially football). He and his wife, Tiffany, have two boys, one in the Air Force and another just out of high school.

Their family also includes a dog named Diva and two pigs, Wilburt and Clementine.

A Call Rekindled

Robby first felt called to ministry as a 12-year-old at an Assemblies of God camp, but that calling lay dormant for years while life took him down other paths.

It wasn’t until after he surrendered his life to Christ that God reignited that fire. “I can’t say I ever wanted to be a pastor,” he admits, “but I want to serve however God calls me to. So if He wants me to be a pastor, then I want to be one too.”

That obedient heart, willing to serve in whatever way God asks, is what defines Robby’s ministry today.

Redeemed. Restored. Repurposed.

Before Christ, Robby’s life was marked by rebellion against God’s plan and will for his life. “I got into drugs and alcohol in high school and let that lifestyle define me for years,” he shares honestly. But in one of the darkest moments of his life, God met him there. June 16, 2007, became a turning point- the day God turned chaos into calling.

Now, Robby preaches from a place of deep empathy and hope. “The mistakes of yesterday never disqualify us from serving God,” he says. “Your greatest mistakes can become the seeds of your greatest miracles. That’s called purpose- and God’s purpose will prevail.”

Partnership in Purpose

Robby’s ministry is strengthened by the woman who walks beside him- his amazing wife, Tiffany.

“God’s opportunities for me took a step change after Tiffany and I got married,” he says. “I believe God calls couples, not just individuals, into ministry. There’s no way I could do this without her.”

Together, they lead with authenticity and joy, showing that faith and marriage are both partnerships built on grace.

Faith Family & Freedom

Ask Robby what he loves most about serving at Freedom Center, and his answer is immediate: “My faith family.” He’s passionate about creating a church where people feel seen, accepted, and free- not because of perfection, but because of grace.

“My prayer,” he says, “is that people have an accurate demonstration of the Lord Jesus Christ when they walk through our doors.”

His life verse, Hebrews 5:8, captures the essence of his testimony:
“Though He were a Son, yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered.”

For Robby, even pain has purpose- because obedience and transformation are born through hardship.

Building the Central Campus

As the lead pastor of the Central Campus, Robby dreams big: a place where the church is open seven days a week, serving both physical and spiritual needs. “I see the Central Campus becoming a hub for the entire community- a safe place for kids, a resource for families, a place where people can experience Jesus in both word and action.”

It’s not just about services on Sundays; it’s about serving people every day.

Loving Like Jesus

When asked what it means to love people the way Jesus does, Robby answers simply: “Be intentional in your relationships. Make sure everyone knows their worth isn’t based on what they’ve done, but who they are in Him.”

It’s that heart for the underdog, the overlooked and underestimated, that defines Pastor Robby’s ministry.

Final Thought

If you ever wonder whether God can use your story, Pastor Robby would tell you this: Absolutely. You are never too far gone. You are never too broken. Grace rebuilds, restores, and redeems- one surrendered heart at a time.
